The Brue-Boat Wedding in OBX NC 2027
Invitation & RSVPS
This website is your invitation, there is no set date for the ceremony but it will be someday in July of 2027. The date won't be decided until the bride's family VRBO is booked. If you are able to make it you must RSVP to Tiani by July 2026. After the RSVPs are all in we will book the VRBO & send out notifications to everyone whom is coming, on what dates are set in place. If you will be joining us, we will offer gifts and food for the day of. We have outlined our day on the details page, this is a non traditional and laid back wedding. Please email or text Tiani if you have any questions !
Arrival & Stay
We recommend you stay at least 4 days in OBX. We are planning our wedding for 7/19/25 to honor the true date of our anniversary. BUT that may not be the day that we have our ceremony, it will be up to the weather and the availability of the VRBO/rental place. We will book the VRBO for at least 4 days. (Some VRBOs require a booking of 7 days, so we may have extra days booked.) You will probably need to request 7 days off of work, up to you of course. Save your PTO as much as you can if you want to attend.

Flight options
IMO: It is faster to fly, but way more expensive !
You would be on a plane for 2 hours (if non stop) and then would also have to rent a car upon arriving. The closest major airport to Salvo NC is 2 hours away.
Based on my research, Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, VA is the closest major airport to Salvo, North Carolina. Some famous airlines ORF services would be : American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.
Pets are family too!
We will make sure that at the Bride's Family VRBO Animals will be allowed. Let them come along on the trip!
Syntheses at Sunrise
The ceremony will be on the sand at sunrise July 2027. By Sunrise we mean the ceremony will begin just before the crest of the sun peaks over the ocean, not after the sun has already risen above the horizon. Yes, It will be early early! It will not be completely dark despite what you may be thinking , and there will be candles and lanterns for an added romantic light element. On OBX the sunrise looks the most ideal at 5am in July. So if you are coming please be prepared to wake up early !
Immediately following the confetti / closure of the ceremony the party will do an Irish exit to allow the newly weds have a private photoshoot on the beach. An Irish exit is when one leaves without saying goodbye, please head off to wherever you may roam. You don't have to leave the beach but please be mindful staying out of the background of the photos and give some space. We will have breakfast in the Brides guest home set up following the ceremony until 10 am. It is not required that everyone go to breakfast, you are free to do as you wish until the reception if you will be joining us.
The Reception will be held at the bride's VRBO in the evening.
